the State Key Laboratory for Turbulence and Complex Systems

The State Key Laboratory for Turbulence and Complex System was founded and officially approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology in 1995, initiated by the distinguished Chinese scientist, Prof. Peiyuan Zhou, who was one of the pioneers of turbulent models. Since its establishment, the laboratory has launched a series of initiatives to broaden the areas of research related to turbulence studies. Most notably, it has expanded to the studies of other complex mechanics and related issues. In 2001, approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the laboratory was officially renamed as the State Key Laboratory for Turbulence and Complex Systems (LTCS).
