When controlling complex systems we are frequently required to achieve certain optimal performance such as maximum throughput. In this talk I will introduce a new timed control framework that addresses safety, liveness and performance. Some recent results will be provided. The key part of the theory is to use concurrency properly to improve the throughput of a target system.
报告人简介:
Dr Rong Su obtained his BS degree from University of Science and Technology of China in 1997, then his MASC and Phd degrees from University of Toronto in 2000 and 2004 respectively. Since then he has worked at University of Waterloo and Eindhoven University of Technology. Right now he is affiliated with the Mechanical Engineering Department at Eindhoven University of Technology.
Dr Su's research interests cover fault diagnosis and supervisory control of discrete-event systems, system modeling and complexity analysis. From 2005 he has be a member of the IFAC Technical Committee on Discrete-event and Hybrid Systems.
