报告内容摘要:
RANS approach has a priority in computational efficiency compared with LES approach. URANS(Unsteady RANS) can extend the range of application of RANS to unsteady flow phenomena. First I will show some key points for modeling of URANS. Then, some examples of URANS computations for practical river flows as well as river morphology are shown.
 
报告人简介:
Ichiro Kimura is the associate professor of Hydraulic Laboratory, Graduate School of Engineering, Hokkaido University, Japan. He got his PhD degree from Kyoto University. His current interests are open channel flows and river morphology.
He worked as a faculty member in Wakayama National College of Technology, Yokkaichi University and Matsue National College of Technology before he became the associate professor in Hokkaido University.
