题目：Nox4-Type NADPH Oxidase: Expression, Signaling, and Endothelial Cell Function

报告内容摘要：
Our studies have shown that expression of the Nox4 type NADPH oxidase in vascular endothelial cells stimulates ERK1/2 and Akt phosphorylation, suppresses apoptosis and promotes angiogenesis. Recently, we have determined that Nox4 is a TGF responsive gene. We hypothesize that Nox4 may have a pivotal role in mediating TGF-induced angiogenic responses in endothelial cells. These findings suggest that Nox4 might be a novel target in suppressing TGF-mediated pathological angiogenesis, such as those found during cancer growth.
