报告内容摘要:
Bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) have been used for treating li ver disorders in different animal models. However, it has been noted recently th at MSCs may be involved in the liver fibrosis in human patients. Using green-col or MSCs isolated from GFP-transgenic mice, we confirm that MSCs indeed contribut e significantly to liver fibrosis, and find that sphingosine 1-phosphate (S1P) r egulates the migration of MSCs into the damaged liver. Moreover, we provide evid ence that the blocking of S1P signals significantly improves the condition of li ver fibrosis in mice.
