题目:Microwave growth of ZnO crystal materials

报告内容摘要:
ZnO is a versatile functional material for wide applications such as UV/blue light emittors, ferromagnetic and spintronic semiconductors, piezoelectric surface acoustic wave devices. Microwave heating is a unique technique for materials processing featuring volumetric heating and external field activated processing. The microwave-heating process have been developed in Materials Research Institute at the Pennsylvania State University for fabrication various ZnO crystal materials, including nanowires, microtubes, and bulk crystals. With further development, the microwave growth technique will provide a compititive method in commercial production of ZnO and some other wide bandgap semiconductor crystal materials.
