报告内容摘要：
Impact dynamic covers a wide range of scientific research and practical applications in civil and military sectors. The scope of the impact dynamics will be introduced in this seminar. The applications of impact dynamics in aerospace, nuclear and defence industries will be covered with the latest research progresses and examples of our recent works.
报告人简介：
Dr Qingming Li is currently a reader in the School of Mechanical, Aerospace and Civil Engineering at The University of Manchester. He graduated from Peking University with BSc in 1984 and MSc in 1986, and received his Ph.D from University of Liverpool in 1997. He has taught in Taiyuan University of Technology and Nanyang Technological University before he joined The University of Manchester in 2002.
As the leader of the Impact and Explosion Research Group, Dr Li's expertise is in penetration mechanics, dynamic behaviour of engineering materials at high strain rates and structural response to impact and blast loads. He has served on international conference committees, chairmanships and editorial boards, undertaken guest editorships, held guest professorships in several universities and provided consultancies to industries and government bodies. He is the author of more than 100 peer-reviewed publications in the field of applied mechanics.
He is currently an Associate Editor of the International Journal of Impact Engineering.
